We're going to be do a little press tour in a few weeks through Germany and London and we're going to set up some fan events when you can hang out, chat about adventure games and play a little Thimbleweed Park and complain in person about <insert personal gripe about the game here>.
We looked into going to some other counties, but time and money was a limiting factor, so we apologize for that.
As we say in America: ROAD TRIP!
The prefered way to sign up is with Facebook by going HERE.
Or you can sign up HERE if you don't have Facebook.
But please don't sign up on both or you will make us cry.
We're not announcing where the fan parties are going to be until we have a count of people.

Munich on Jan 29th...
Also: Toilet paper "over" is the right answer obviously.
I live in Hamburg, which is only a two-hour train ride away from Berlin, so there is no way I'm gonna miss that!
I'm sure they did their best when doing the decision. :)
Yet, I'd also think Cologne/Ruhrgebiet + Berlin would
have been a better choice for various reasons.
Forgot about Gamescom.
I know I can at the click of a button I just didn't want to do it without asking?
Seriously: Wouldn't it be cool to have paper name tags with our forum images and nicknames on them? (At least for those of us who aren't so boring that they use their actual name and picture! ;-) )
You can bet your lip-sync routines that I will come dressed like Zak McKracken, with glasses, nose, kazoo, crystals and phone bill! :-)
I second your idea of tags with name and picture of the blog!
a suspected terroris has been arrested while approaching the most famous Ale House of Munich. He was hiding his face in a mask with big nose, mustache and big glasses. Police was allerted by his strange and hostile behaviour of pointing his finger to everyone was passing there. The identity of the man is unknown. He claims that he has been compelled by an undefined foreign mental force. He stated his name to be "Phoenix Wright". The arab nickname and the italian accent make the detectives think about an islamic terrorist who came in Europe troughout Italy where he planned his activities. "I only wanted to meet Ron Gilbert to talk about Thimbleweed Park" he stated. Interpol is now looking for his contact that is believed to be the boss, and has launched the "Thimbleweed Park Operation" to dismantle the terroristic organization.
Unluckily on monday morning I'll have to get up early, and it's 6 hours drive from Munich to home. I think I'll fly to Berlin instead.
OBJECTION! I need evidence. Zak, i just want to know how pointy your hairdo is.
Is there something else? .... Ah yes. Ron is there too.
As for the crazy guy... you won't be disappointed :-D
@longuist: OVERRULED! You will have evidence! I'm preparing a new cosplay only for this event, a mix of Zak McKracken and Phoenix Wright... Zak Phoenix McKracken , of course!
I hope the police won't bring me in jail...
What do you mean? I'll be disappointed, since I'll go to Berlin, so I can't meet you....
...or maybe are you managing to attend both events?
starting from Orio al Serio in the morning,
and coming back the day after.
*Anyone from Italy wants to join?*
Is there a mailing list? I'm not on the social networks.... How can I contact you?
[email protected]
Finish this damn game !!!
Can't wait more to play :,(
- That doesn't seem to work.
"Push tour"
- OK, it moved!
:-DDD
Fantastic idea.
Really great. I want it.
If so, count me in (will register separately).
If nothing else, would there be somebody in/around Munich so kind to pick me up from the railway station to go to our destination and back? *THAT* would be awesome.
Even better would be somebody from the Frankfurt area going down to Munich and willing to take another passenger. I'd pay half the gas cost of course!
I wish I could really go.
BTW - How long will that event be? If I do by train, I don't really want to spend the night, so if it is like 3-4 hours, then I can take a train at midnight back.
When it's located on the outskirts taxi fare is about 30€, so it should be considerably less.
Thanks

These tickets are valid the whole day and for all public transportation in and around Munich.
Public transport works very well (most of the time) in Munich. But as there are many possible destinations in the city it may be a bit complicated to find your way around. But there are apps for that, e.g. http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/journey-planner/mobile-services/mvv-app/index.html .
If so, may I ask you some logistic information?
Please contact me on Twitter or Facebook (Zak Phœnix McKracken), thank you!
If it would be summer on the other hand... I'd take some days off and ride to and from their through the mountains... that would have been great *sigh*
Unfortunately, air ticket are not refundable, too bad...
OK, I was asking because it's my first time in Germany, so...
Never mind.
Also Bavarians are the only Germans being able to speak proper German! :-)
Even if it's not October, I want to taste some good beers... red ones in particular!
Seems like it translated "home" to "house" instead of something more like "home country".
This sounds probably best: "Deutschland, Heimat der Biere". But I was never good in German anyway :-)
For bestest of best translation we should ask Boris.

There are also many other sorts of beer from Bavaria, though. Helles, Dunkel and Export from Munich are very famous. As the name implies, Dunkel is very dark, due to the malt.
When it comes to Bavaria in general, most Germans think of Weißbier/Weizenbier (wheat beer) at first (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_beer), which can be either clear or dimmish (in case of Hefeweizen) due to the brewer's yeast.
There is the word "not" missing. ;-)
In fact, in the city(!) of munich there are only a few more people speaking the bavarian dialect.

Luckly there is also the english language :-)
Thanks for your suggestions!
@Ron: I wish you would also consider Frnakfurt, since its in between those two locations.
When we say we are going to come, is it binding? I haven't checked out the link, yet. Will do at once though.

The resolution is a bit too high, but maybe its fullscreen or he stole all available memory (ransome access memory)
Is there a reason its under my comment? Honi soit qui mal y pense :P
It was meant as a reply to Jammet. Don't be upset, you're cool too, really. Pushing the nose: *eek eek*
~ (deflated)
(I remember americans sometimes say rubber for a condom, *nudge* *nudge*, *wink* *wink*)
It has been a rhinoceros, of course!
You can find more of this on my homepage ;-)
I live very far away from Germany and England, but in the meantime I can travel virtually to Europe in my in development retro adventure for Spanish speakers about Indiana Jeans and the legacy of the Pleiadians. If you want I can add a Thimbleweed Park event to the adventure for free!

Hmmm, well, it reminds me of certain "games" that were back in the early nineties, there were also full screen images and we boys made also pixel hunting in search of, ahem, the "hot spots" eheheheh! :-P
So... have fun, and make a toast in my honor. Zak, you're in charge.
Munich is a so fascinating and beautiful town, believe me. Even if it's my first time in Germany, believe me.
I'll make a toast in your honor, and a good beer, promised!
Now I feel guilty. :(
So, if your wife works or has family that can help her, you're excused :P
well decided. Munich would be my option.
Is it ok to come with the whole family (totally 4 persons , Kids with higher ages (up from 7))?
Currently I can not say for sure, if it is possible to come for us, as we would have a 3 hours car drive.
Would it be possible to get a boxed version or other merchandising of the game onsite?
A lot of questions I know. I am not sure if you even have the time to answer. Maybe.
BR
Stefan
Up to now, a boxed copy is exclusive for some of the backers, who had helped financing the development of this game. Nevertheless, I assume that they are going to offer some merchandising items (while stocks last). But, if you're only interested in merchandising items, you can simply order them at this store:
https://www.fangamer.com/collections/thimbleweed-park
The location is still unknown.
Considering my kids, I know they'd get bored quickly and as soon as 8pm hits, probably also tired (or hyper).
That is the reason why I'll travel alone. 48-100 seconds talking to Ron will be the "highlight". :)
I am iffy about moving around in München though. I don't really wanna spend the night and the night train back leaves at midnight. So I hope transportation to an from the location via public transportation will not be time consuming and possible at such a late hour.
Otherwise have fun coming alone and with the family, I guess. If it is really age limited, you might want to ask directly on the Facebook page (or via e-mail).
Or did I miss something?
Or are you talking about you not being able to come?
Some people signed up via a Google form. All we did is send an email to those people with basically the same information as we said here.
Example: Mark Ferrari decides he wants to make a change to a room.
Example: Octavi did a special case animation on his free time.
I know your technically in content complete. But we all know content will change and there will be updates in future patches after release
